For Health Care Professionals

Ellen currently offers workshops and ongoing support for compassion fatigue and the effects of chronic stress and loss in various medical settings such as hospices, hospitals, long term care facilities, oncology offices, and treatment departments.

The goal of this offering for health care workers is to develop and strengthen resiliency and well-being, and to increase the capacity for compassion toward self and others.

Ellen’s support for health care professionals:

  • benefits practitioners by helping to promote resilience and meaning for health care workers.

  • benefits patients by improving clinical encounters and relationships with health care providers.

  • benefits health care systems by promoting behaviors that support improved care delivery.

She offer full day retreats, half day retreats, trainings, one-time and ongoing support groups as well as clinical consultation for complex grief, loss, trauma and other clinical issues.

It is profoundly comforting to be part of a uniquely supportive monthly group where we are encouraged to practice self compassion within the framework of mindfulness.  Nowhere else have I discovered such a safe and confidential place to be with coworkers, who know all too well the challenges of being a caring health care professional. If only all health care organizations could have Ellen leading a group like this, staff members would be better supported to do the hard work we do, the ripple effects would be far and deep, and I dare say that the world would be a better place.
